We are pleased to announce a significant expansion of our product portfolio and our partnership with Umlaut (Accenture).
As of August 1, we have been appointed by Umlaut, part of the Accenture Group, as the distributor for fire extinguishers manufactured by Umlaut for the entire European helicopter market.
In concrete terms, this means we are now the exclusive distribution partner, responsible for supplying every fire extinguisher designed according to product specifications for installation in helicopters.
This change has been mandated by the aviation authorities (EASA). By the end of the year, every customer must equip their affected helicopters with the new fire extinguisher. The key difference from existing fire extinguishers is that the gas currently used – halon gas – is no longer permitted in aviation operations. The new fire extinguisher is free of halon gas.
Umlaut has been working successfully for years with our parent company in the fire extinguisher business for aviation customers such as airlines and MRO shops.
